A-Galerii Annual Jewellery Exhibition 2025 “One to Many”, which opens today (05.12) 6pm.

This year, the largest annual group exhibition of Estonian jewellery art turns its focus to values. At a time when value is so often reduced to numbers, the artists highlight other forms of worth – those shaped by collaboration, community, and the relationships that emerge in shared space.

The exhibition design by artist Karl Joonas Alamaa features soft figurative objects made from leftover garment textiles, combined with organic wooden and metal structures.

The title “One to Many” points to the tension between valuing uniqueness and universality, carrying an ironic undertone: whatever, just one among many. Each artwork becomes a small world of its own, a question and a possible answer.

In this course we will study abstract calligraphy. The program is built from simple to complicated, based on the “Italic Cursive” we start with writing the basic strokes and go on to create our own abstract compositions.
In 10 lessons, you will get acquainted with the variety of calligraphic tools and learn to use them. Throughout the course, we will work with the plasticity and shape of letters, liberate our hand and our vision, and experiment a lot. You will learn how to convey your feelings and emotions with the help of letters, gain freedom of expression, creating interesting abstract works and where they can be used.
This course is suitable for both beginners (because we will study the writing of letters in detail) and for those who want to improve their writing, make it more lively and interesting, embody their ideas on paper and for those who ready for experiments.

pre-18th century Cyrillic writing styles, the history of Latin calligraphy, train only one style “Copperplate” or immerse yourself in creative, abstract calligraphy, you can read more about the courses on the website Labora.ee. If you do not have the opportunity to regularly attend classes, you can come to a single lesson and train sometimes, when possible.
